Here’s a couple of things you may not know about me….
My Dad taught me how to stick weld when I was 18 and I made 3 candelabras for my friends.
I’ve walked across fire 3 times.
My Dad also taught me how to change my car tyre AND empty out the sump oil, when I got my first car.
I’ve jumped out of a plane at 10,000 feet. (And threw up on the way down.)
I got my first job developing photos, at Gissing’s Camera and Video in Wagga out of 200 applicants.
When I first moved out of home, I moved 40 hours away from my family and lived in Cairns.
I have a Medium Rigid Truck Licence. (And when I was 19, drove 25 drunk people home in a bus from Monte Cristo in Junee!)
I’ve abseiled down 18 stories of the AMP building in Darling Harbour Sydney.
I’m learning how to figure skate on ice. (very slowly .)
I owned a 7 day a week café and bought it when I was 7 months pregnant with my 2nd daughter! (17 hour days, what was I thinking!?!)
I left school in Year 10 because I was so over the education system and just wanted freedom and autonomy.
I had no idea what I wanted to be when I grew up, (apart from wanting to be a nurse at age 5!) until I was 32 and found Kinesiology.
I applied to be an Ambulance Officer 3 times and missed out in the last test by ½ a mark.
I struggled with my self-esteem and self-worth massively, from 13-32 and took a bunch of panodol when I was 19, as I had no idea how to deal with my emotions.
I’ve been in SA, NSW and QLD all at once. (Thanks Mum and Dad for taking us to, Cameron’s Corner and our Birdsville trip!)
I’ve hang glided and was violently ill after 10 mins. (Slept on the beach for 4 hours before driving home.) 🫣– There’s a bit of a theme here!
I’ve been self-employed doing what I love, for 12 years.
What’s something that people don’t know about you? I’d love to hear.
Big hugs,
Sal x
