Wow, so many energy shifts!!!

If you are waking up dreading the day, feeling so overwhelmed and super exhausted, it can feel terrifying and so incredibly draining.

When I was in the worst of my burnout, I was literally only able to function for 2-3 hours a day.

Even something so simple as preparing a healthy meal felt overwhelming.

Tasks that I’d found so simple and easy to do previously, felt like it was all too much.

My body felt frozen and numb.

Every day felt like I was walking through a boggy marsh with concrete boots on.

I was sitting and staring mindlessly at my notebook each day.

Previously I had filled it with things I needed to get done, but for the life of me, couldn’t seem to make my brain work, the brain fog and loss of clarity floored me…..

I was scared and anxious and very teary in the moments that I could feel things….

If this is you, I get it, it’s terrifying to feel that your body is not working the way you need it to.

It’s heartbreaking to not be the Mum you want to be because you are so damn tired and you literally have no energy.

We’ve literally been conditioned and endoctrinated to be the “good girl” to be the “pleaser” to be the one that is always there for everyone else, to be the one that is always picking up the pieces for others and in the process, we’ve learnt to deny our own needs and to disassociate from our bodies cues that let us know we are tired, or exhausted and just need time out.

This is what creates burnout and I’ve had so many women that have come to me over the years that have been through the burnout cycle, not just once, but many times……

  1. Listen to your body – Follow your biological impulses
  2. Let go of over responsibility
  3. Heal your Nervous system. This includes healing past trauma – denial, dissociation, workaholism, staying busy as a way of numbing feelings, healing High Achiever syndrome – driven from perfectionism or fear of not being enough, disappointing, or letting others down.
  4. Be authentic – Set healthy Boundaries – honour what’s right for you.
  5. Get mentoring and support to heal the body – You may know what you need to do, but if you are NOT doing it, then PAST TRAUMA, BELIEFS etc are all in the way of you healing. It’s so important to heal the body- Physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
  6. Question your unresourceful Beliefs – How do I feel with this thought? How do I feel without the thought?
  7. Drink Plenty of Water – Lemon Water/Alkalise the body – Breathe!!!!
  8. Move your body in a way that feels good – Use Music
  9. The power of Gratitude and sending out magical blessings to others
  10. Celebrate every step forward – Fist pump for a quick hit of dopamine.
